SCHADENFREUDE
Will you be there
With me when
I succeed
Or will you only be around
To comfort me
When I fail
Will you join me
In my victories
Or merely surround me
With your pity
When I face my losses
In short will my
Triumphs be your triumphs
Or will you only be happy
When I succumb to disappointment
Mary Flatley has been writing poetry since 1997. From 2003-2008 she was the Administrative Assistant at the Walt Whitman Birthplace. She is a graduate of SUNY Purchase.
