AMANTES/LOVERS

tr G Leogena
The ineffable
is one tongue finding another
in its prehistory

Day and night
wrap themselves in their song

In their dance
the lightning bolts announce
our dance

Deciphering themselves
pupils dilate
like night

In its kisses
the universe
stops separating

We write a storm
keeping wet
its words

We mix our colors
on day’s canvas
until we are night

The first vowels
exploded
in the orgasm

Your salt writes the sea’s legacy
on my tongue

Gaze to gaze
respiration,
mouth to mouth
vision

What is fused by image
no reality
can separate

Venus
is how you paint yourself

We recognize ourselves
in the ubiquity of the dew

Ecstasy
There are no pillars
to carry the current

The Earth trembles
like a mare
just here

Under bridges of ecstasy
the river
resembles a bride.
