THE WEST WAS STOLEN WITH THE BARREL OF A GUN

The West was stolen
with the barrel of a gun
it’s the ethos
a principle
engraved in the mind of colonizers
leftover remnants
of death revisited
a dosage of blood
to fill the coffers
of the undertaker
who has a deal wit the devil
selling lost souls for cheap
business is booming
with the new world order
versus the rest of us
they try to bury democracy
but she refuses to die
so we look death in the face daily
as mass murder is the latest rage
in a world still spinning
and out of control
icebergs melting into the sea
dolphins washed up on the shore
stock market see saw
world war on the horizon
optimism absent from reality
please pardon my pessimism
