Lubna El Manouzi
THREE POEMS
I Observing limitations
with the eye of a flower
is what turns mud into grass.
II In my last delirium
people appear and put barley
into my sleeve —
what does darkness share with dawn?
III I will be there, two eyes filled
with the confidence of poetry,
and protect the last angel —
even from the grave of the world.
