COMMEMORATIVE ISSUE SUMMER 2023

DAYS GONE WRONG
Even here among summer’s green
death lives the pressed rabbit-pelt
in the road the hollow pine
rusting needles falling
to the covert burrowing beetle
and all around us now we see
the young men grow sallow
marked purple as they go
leaving their traces
in air the empty spaces
