IMPATIENCE WITH INERTIA
For Doug

I have grown impatient
With people who are not revolutionaries
Those that adhere to the status quo
And see no need to change the world

I have grown weary of those
Who do not classify themselves as dreamers
But rather define themselves as realists
And unable to solve the world’s inequalities

I will not surround myself with the pragmatists
But rather I must adhere to those who are blazing optimists
Ready to shake up the universe
