COMMEMORATIVE ISSUE SUMMER 2023

OUT

On the coldest morning of the year,
fingering in Emporium Hardware
the ballistic heft of a powerdriver
I see our way out
of the service economy:
winters we occupy Haiti
while the ancient Atlanteans
work underwater to harness the sea.
Then I’m out on the street breezing up
& police chief Ialacci runs up saying
where you going with that buddy you
put a hole in the wall.
