Mark Borczon

MYSTERY TRAIN

Driving home in the dark, listening
To Elvis, the Sun recordings.

The big dipper does a headstand
On the roof of my 08 Sonata.

I am 20 miles over the speed limit.
The car is leaking coolant, burning oil.

For the first time in my life
I think God might be an American.

Mark Borczon is a poet from Erie Pennsylvania. He is a custodian at Penn West University. He has three children and lives with his long term fiancé Janice.
