Maria Del Castillo Sucerquia
A FLOWER
With that gaze of yours, you say
Latin America burns
But it’s Latin America
that looks at me in flames
and spreads my ashes
God does wonders with the dead
Look how you burn with the gaze
of the deceased
Feel how my corpse
blows your ashes
