Thanatos Takes Psyche into His Bed

We are transformed by animality.

                       —Helene Cixous

Psyche, we are alone now.

Fog gathers on the glass.

Press a finger to the haze,

spell the strokes of your name.

A delicate scent.

The mythical sex,

despondent call of a god

to wild animal.

You twitch and moan.
